This jug is born from the work Lapidaria, an archive under construction of stones, works and objects.
As it happens for every artwork of Lapidaria, the jug comes from the shape of one of the stones collected on the ground of the Pisan Mountains, the block streams, rivers made of stones, residues of the ancient glaciations.
The stones collected in these places by Caterina and Gabriele are returned in painted ceramic and hybridized with details from everyday objects.
An ongoing work on the human time that meets the geological time.
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted artpiece that tells us about the story and the geography of a landscape and about the ancient relationship that links mankind to the mountains.
