Lapidaria, box

This small box is born from the work Lapidaria, an archive under construction of stones, works and objects.
The stones collected by Caterina and Gabriele on the ground of the Monti Pisani, on the block streams, a sort of rivers made of stones residues of the ancient glaciation, are returned in painted ceramic and hybridized with details from everyday objects.
An ongoing work on the human time that meets the geological time.
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind handmade artpiece that tells us about the story and the geography of a landscape and about the ancient relationship that links mankind to the mountains.
